Within the current climate of athletics, there is an increased need for broad compliance and understanding of policies and procedures regarding athlete healthcare. It can be difficult, however, for athletic healthcare providers to navigate the Accountability and Education of Non-Healthcare Personnel.

  • What roles do the Athletic Healthcare Administrator and sports medicine staffs play in the development and execution of these policies?
  • Whose responsibility is it to enforce health and safety-related protocols among non-medical staff?
  • How can administration, medical professionals, and team staff all work together to create collaborative, athlete-focused policies and procedures?

A key factor towards this success is for non-healthcare personnel in athletics – such as coaches, team and support staff, and administration – to support, adhere, and promote an environment focused on athlete health, safety, and welfare.

We invite healthcare professionals, administrators, athletics staff, and conference officials to join us as we discuss best practice guidelines around the accountability and education of non-healthcare personnel regarding health and safety protocols.
