The U.S. Council for Athletes’ Health (USCAH) has recently entered into a partnership with the Association of Chief Executives for Sports (ACES). ACES is a trade association comprised exclusively of CEOs and Executive Directors of nonprofit sports governing bodies. The chief executives of most of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee organizations are members of ACES, however, 19 of ACES’s 68 members lead sports organizations that are outside of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Family.

“Throughout our nation, there is a continually evolving awareness that athlete health and athlete safety are the bedrocks of sport,” said Rick Mack, CEO of ACES. “It is no longer just “winning and losing” that matter, and many sports leaders are embracing this larger responsibility in serving their athletes and their families. Accordingly, the mission of USCAH is in total alignment with the needs and priorities of our ACES Members, and we are absolutely thrilled to form this new partnership with USCAH.”

ACES is a member networking and best practices organization focused on “members helping members.” These efforts manifest themselves in a variety of ways that include custom member surveys on a wide variety of issues, eight best practices groups that meet at least quarterly, regular meetings of the members to discuss a myriad of issues, special meetings about hot topics, an annual best practices conference, and the facilitation of many one-on-one or small group conversations.

“We're excited to partner with ACES to collaborate with their members to prioritize athlete health, safety, and well-being,” said James Borchers, CEO and President of USCAH. “We look forward to continuing the momentum to enhance programming that will contribute to the health and safety of sport in the future.”
