The U.S. Council for Athletes’ Health (USCAH) is excited to announce the appointment of Dr. Brian Hainline as Senior Advisor. Dr. Hainline’s wealth of experience in sport-related concussion, mental health in elite athletes, and his transformative leadership in sports medicine make him an invaluable addition to our team.

Dr. Hainline is internationally recognized for his work in advancing health and safety for athletes. As the NCAA’s first Chief Medical Officer, he spent over eleven years reshaping the landscape of collegiate sports. He played a pivotal role in elevating the NCAA as a leader in concussion management and mental health awareness, and he developed key industry standards for athlete health, safety, and performance.

“We are thrilled to have Dr. Hainline on board,” said James Borchers, President and CEO of USCAH. “His unparalleled expertise and passion for athlete health will help us continue to grow and deliver cutting-edge solutions to our clients.”

In his new advisory role with USCAH, Dr. Hainline will collaborate closely with the executive team to drive business development, cultivate new client relationships, and expand strategic initiatives. He will also represent USCAH as an expert advisor at industry conferences, educational symposia, and speaking engagements.

“As the former NCAA Chief Medical Officer, I am acutely aware that we live in a country with no central oversight of sport, including the health and safety of our most sacred asset in sport – our athletes,” said Brian Hainline. “USCAH provides the best public health solution for ensuring there is independent guidance and oversight for youth, high school, collegiate and emerging elite athletes, and I am proud to join their team.”

Dr. Hainline is Chair of the Board and President of the U.S. Tennis Association and Vice President and Board Member of the International Tennis Federation. He is Clinical Professor of Neurology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and has received numerous awards for his services to sport, including the esteemed Tuss McLaughry Award from the American Football Coaches Association.

Dr. Hainline's collaboration with our team will play a key role in further developing our strategy and ensuring our offerings remain at the forefront of emerging trends in athlete health and safety.
